Who We Serve

The John S. Batiuk Regional Water Commission oversees a vital water transmission facility that effectively distributes potable water to its member municipalities. The commission sources the water from EPCOR, through the Northeast Water Services Commission and then transports it via pipeline to various demographic areas such as the Towns of Bruderheim, Mundare and Vegreville, ACE Water Corp, Lamont County, Strathcona County, the Village of Chipman.

Our Objective

  • Provide reliable economical potable water transmission service to members municipalities and customers at an affordable cost.
  • Manage water flow to prevent water loss from the transmission system and storage reservoirs.
  • To distribute and handle potable water requirements in accordance with environmental requirements and other applicable legislation and regulations.
  • To operate the transmission facilities to the optimum capability.
  • To conserve capital investment and ensure long-term reliability and efficiency of the facilities by performing adequate preventive and corrective maintenance, upgrading, and replacement in a coordinated fashion.
